Shuttle announces the availability of NVIDIA’s latest GeForce 8800GTS with Gaming XPCs
11.9.2006
Shuttle Inc, the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of small form factor computers and accessories have announced the availability of NVIDIA’s latest GeForce 8800GTS graphics card in XPC P2 2700 and P2 3700 gaming systems. Select P2 2700 and P2 3700 systems powered by NVIDIA’s GeForce 8800GTS graphics processor deliver unseen visuals and graphics performance in a miniscule small form factor package. Shuttle is dedicated to delivering the best gaming experience with XPC P2 2700 and P2 3700 systems, “now with NVIDIA’s GeForce 8800GTS Shuttle is able to bring small form factor gaming into a new era of performance and realism” said Kevin Tu, Product Manager.
The latest NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTS graphics processor features NVIDIA’s unified architecture, GigaThread, DirectX 10, Lumenex Engine and Quantum Effects technologies to usher in a new era of graphics realism.
With NVIDIA’s unified architecture the GeForce 8800GTS has unmatched 3D performance. Featuring 96 “stream processors” the GeForce 8800GTS can dynamically allocate various rendering tasks depending on application needs. These tasks include geometry, vertex and pixel shading operations. This rendering method offers greater graphics efficiency, delivering an unprecedented two-fold gaming performance improvement of previous generations.
Featuring NVIDIA GigaThread technology the GeForce 8800GTS brings multi-threading to graphics. This provides greater processing efficiency in shader programs. With select GeForce 8800GTS equipped Shuttle XPC P2 2700 and P2 3700 systems, you get multi-threaded performance in graphics and regular day-to-day system use and operations.
Microsoft’s upcoming Windows Vista will bring the new aero glass user interface and DirectX 10 3D API. NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTS equipped XPC P2 2700 and P2 3700 systems are fully compatible with Microsoft’s upcoming aero glass user interface and DirectX 10 3D API. With DirectX 10 support games will be able to deliver never before seen visual realism and cinematic quality effects.
NVIDIA’s Lumenex Engine delivers greater higher quality anti-aliasing mode. The Lumenex Engine is capable of delivering anti-aliasing modes up to 16x sampling—a sample previously reserved for dual-card SLI equipped systems. Now with the GeForce 8800GTS you can experience 16x anti-aliasing with a single graphics card. Jagged edges in games will be a thing of the past with 16x anti-aliasing. In addition to the 16x anti-aliasing modes the Lumenex Engine delivers 128-bit floating point high dynamic range HDR processing. Previous generation graphics were limited to 64-bit floating point HDR processing. Coupling 16x anti-aliasing modes with 128-bit HDR processing games will deliver smooth graphics with cinematic quality lighting effects.
Hardware accelerated physics processing is the next big thing in enhancing the gaming experience. NVIDIA’s GeForce 8800GTS features Quantum Effects Technology to deliver hardware accelerated physics acceleration technologies. With Quantum Effects Technology users can experience hardware accelerated physics without the need of an additional costly expansion card. NVIDIA’s Quantum Effects technology also ushers in a new era of artificial intelligence realism and effects.
Users that select NVIDIA’s GeForce 8800GTS graphics processor for P2 2700 and P2 3700 systems will be in for a treat. With its 640MB of video memory of blazing fast 1.8 GHz memory and 1.2 GHz shaders, XPC P2 2700 and P2 3700 systems deliver gaming performance that matches larger, bulkier and noisier tower systems. Experience a new era of gaming realism and cinematic quality visuals with a GeForce 8800GTS equipped Shuttle XPC P2 2700 or P2 3700 system.
